Immigration reform is crucial. We have to make changes that will allow immigrants to seek asylum in our country, limit the barriers to legal immigration, and welcome people who come to America to make our country their home.
We believe that families belong together, and are horrified by the recent actions of the Trump administration to separate refugee parents from their children.
Those seeking asylum from their home countries should be offered the chance at a new life in America. Our country was founded on the basis of immigration, and we believe it should remain that way.
The border wall is a juvenile and callous way to suggest immigration reform. Our tax dollars should be spent toward helping refugees and creating proper and effective immigration reform – not building an ineffective and offensive structure on the border.
